Aadya came to One World College of Music on a winter evening to enroll for vocal classes. At the time, it seemed like just a building where children attend their lessons. It was the following month that she discovered it is not only a place for individuals to learn, but for groups of people to merge and absorb music together. In the time that she has been part of One World, it has grown to become her family and a community that helps her push herself forward. In her words, “The opportunities I have got to learn and now teach are those that have helped me grow as a person and express myself, and the freedom that I have got has allowed me to not only reach my potential but cross my limits.”
She is a 16 year old girl striving to become a singer/songwriter. She gave the Grade 5 ABRSM exam for piano and passed with a merit. She also had my own Open Rehearsal, Banshee, that showcased some of my original songs. She has been a student at One World since 2013 and became part of the teaching faculty for piano in August 2017.
