Subhadra Kamath has been singing ever since she can remember. She started singing professionally in 2007, with the band Sage and the Comets (earlier known as Fire Exit) and with the Artistes Unlimited. Since then she has also sung backing vocals with different bands such as Them Clones, Advaita, Faridkot and also as part of the Yellow Brick Project choir.She also won the Jack Daniels Rock Award for Best Female Vocalist in 2012. Currently she performs with Delhi based band Tankbund and electro acoustic duo the Yellow Bucket as well as Sage and the Comets.

Professionally, she has been working with The Yuva Ekta Foundation(earlier part of the Tehelka Foundation) since December 2009, and as a part of its projects she has worked with young people on Empowerment through the arts – focusing on music, theatre and fine arts as mediums. Having attended and facilitated workshops based on street theatre based on social causes, as well as workshops aimed at therapeutic interventions through the arts, she has also had basic training in arts therapy and psychodrama through short term workshops.

She also works with Music Basti, an organisation that brings music education to kids in not-so-privileged communities. She is also the co- founder of DIY DAY, a festival that aims at bringing together independent art from across the city, curating festivals and flea markets setup by independent artists and entrepreneurs.
