Subiksha Anand Kumar
Subiksha Anand Kumar, born and raised in Tamil Nadu, moved to New Delhi to pursue her career in music. A Grade 8 (with distinction) holder in Western Classical singing from Trinity College of Music London, she also holds a Grade 3 in Piano from Trinity College London. After winning several scholarships for exceptional singing from Delhi School of Music, she is currently pursuing her advanced training in Western Classical singing with professors from eminent conservatories in Austria. Subiksha is also a trained Indian classical singer and holds the Sangeet Shiromani Diploma from Delhi University.
Subiksha was recently invited for a performance recital for Jogja Cultural Fest 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia where she also collaborated with visual artists creating and improvising live hindustani classical renditions. She has performed across Delhi representing various choirs in renowned venues like Russian cultural center, Dutch Embassy and Kamani Auditorium. She also embraces other styles of music like Rock, Pop and Jazz. Apart from singing, she has constantly worked to develop her musicianship by studying music history, music theory, aural training through short courses from various universities like Yale, University of Edinburgh and Berklee college of Music. She was also offered the Darmasiswa Indonesian Scholarship by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia to study traditional Indonesian music.
She is multilingual and likes to learn languages in her free time. She secured a Goethe Zertifikat B1 in German language recently.
