Kaumudi Malaviya

Kaumudi Malaviya is a singer, songwriter, composer, and educator based in New Delhi, India. She has received formal training and mentorship from some of the finest musicians in the country, including Ms. Sentirenla Lucia, an alumna of Berklee College of Music, and Pranai Gurung, a renowned jazz and blues guitarist and educator.Kaumudi has been an active performer in the music scene of Delhi NCR since the age of 16 and has collaborated with various bands and artists across India, such as Chizai, Be Right Back, The Guy Velvet Group, Footprints India, The Nandan Borker Collective, The Kaumudi and Gandhi Project, and Clout Collision, among others.Kaumudi's musical style incorporates elements of jazz, R&B, pop, and folk.Currently, Kaumudi is focused on her creative projects and is in the process of recording an EP with her pop/R&B/jazz band, Clout Collision.In addition to her work as a performer and composer, Kaumudi is committed to mentoring talent. Her teaching philosophy as a voice instructor emphasizes achieving vocal freedom and correct technique by addressing mental inhibitions and fears about singing, and by attuning the mind to the body's innate, optimal way of singing. She believes that the most efficient way to learn is through making it enjoyable.
