The aim of this concept based approach to drama is to enable young learners in expressing themselves through the poems they choose. We will explore the poems through objects, images and our senses. Devika’s magical music and story classes

Albert Einstein once said that “imagination was more important than knowledge..”

My class and I have a relationship that is aimed at humor, helping kids understand the world of music and stories through the most important tool –the ‘silly quotient and their imagination.’

I introduce children to the world of stories and music through the act of dramatic play, mimicry, dance, children’s playful musical instruments and songs that help encourage multicultural musical appreciation.

From popular children’s music, traditional nursery rhymes, stories and those written by Devika Gupta soon to be developed into a book, children in my class play to learn.

7 classes per season.
Every Wednesday starting August 2019 at One World College of Music.
Fee: 7,000 / season.

Children and their parents are continually faced with the challenge of maintaining their physical, social and emotional well being in a world that doesn’t allow for much time and space to acknowledge these essential elements of a happy life.

That’s where art forms like music lend themselves as beautiful tools that help us maintain our overall health and happiness.

We have designed a twelve session module to give children the space to learn to recognize, express, and accept our own as well as others’ feelings and desires in a safe environment.

This experience is aimed at increasing understanding of different emotions and ways to express them, strengthening the mind and body connection and working with peers whole developing songwriting and musicality.

WHAT IS WELLBEING?

Wellbeing refers to a person’s quality of life as they themselves see and experience it It can be broken down into Emotional, Social and Physical wellness. Well being can be felt as happiness, a feeling that everything is going well, that one is liked by people around and the ability to function well in daily life.

WHEN IS WELLBEING COMPROMISED?

When Satisfaction in Emotional, Physical and Social aspects of your life is low in ways that :

PARENT/GUARDIAN AND TEACHER INVOLVEMENT

For this, parents/guardians and teachers will have to attend a feedforward meeting before the beginning of the module and a feedback meeting after the conclusion of the module for setting expectation and reviewing progress.

Parents/guardians and teachers will be required to attend monthly sessions for staying updated on the child’s progress and for providing any insight or help.
