My journey with One World - Diva Sogani

My journey with One World College of Music began when I was 11 years old, and over the last seven years, it has become such an important part of my life. Looking back now at 18, I can confidently say that these years have shaped me not just as a singer, but also as a person.

I owe so much of my growth to my teacher, Smiti Ma’am. Her guidance and support has encouraged me to grow and become a more confident musician. One of the most memorable parts of my journey was the music trip to Jodhpur, where I got to experience the beauty of Indian folk music firsthand. It gave me a whole new appreciation for different musical traditions and cultures. Performing has also been a huge part of my experience. From countless recitals to performing twice at Piano Man, every opportunity helped me become more confident on stage and taught me how to truly connect with an audience. Ensemble classes with Deepak Sir gave me the experiences of performing in a band and showed me the value of teamwork, listening, and making music together. After all these years with OWCM, their training and discipline helped me achieve a score of 90% (distinction) in my Rockschool Grade 8 Vocal exam. Wherever I'll be i will always carry good memories of OWCM with me.
