Musicality

A session on essential music skills. Besides reading, writing music, working on rhythm and ear training; the session also exposes students to various aspects of music to help discover their musical inclinations.

  • Music theory.
  • Students understand the practical applications of their primary instruments while working in a group format with other instrumentalists too.

Choral Groups / Voice Ensembles

Students learn to sing together in a choral format. They start with warm ups and work on songs to build on their vocal expertise.

  • Reinforcement of essential music Skills including reading, writing, rhythm and ear development.
  • Non genre specific to allow ample room for exploration and work on harmonies.

Instrumental Groups

Students practise their instruments on songs of common choice with other students in duo/trio formats. Teacher is an engaged participant in this group.

  • Covering music styles and songs of common interest.
  • Refine your time management, coordination and organizational skills and make practice fun.

Percussion Ensembles

Students play on percussion instruments as a group working on different rhythms of the world, backed with reading of rhythms.

  • Reinforcement of rhythmic concepts and practice.
  • Working in groups on different rhythmic patterns.

Ensembles

Students work purely on performance based training as a band playing a repertoire of common interest songs. Working towards performances for critical acclaim by the faculty and other audience is the general session format.

Lyric & Songwriting

A programme designed to expose students to techniques of generating lyrical ideas, prose and song concepts with the larger backdrop of creating melodies and songwriting.

Sound Exploration

It is an intensive course designed to get students to understand the basics of recording, the art of making music using musical and non musical tools.
