We saw our students, who might get a bit complacent in familiar environs, super charged up and absorbing all that was coming their way. Besides respecting this unique opportunity, they were humbled by the humility and prowess of the folk artists’ and learnt to collaborate, work and deliver within set deadlines. OWCM faculty’ s contribution in contextualising the immense information for the students’ was invaluable too.
The Electronic music / production workshop on the penultimate day opened their minds out to possibilities and the final days’ collaboration, on compositions and presentation was an icing on the cake.
Students and folk artists’ were thrilled with this opportunity to co create and find a blend to express their impressions of each other’s music by creating two songs together.
This beautiful experience of Rajasthani folk culture, and heritage brought to us through its Music will go down memory lane for many of us.
Many thanks to all who were a part of this JVF / OWCM collaboration. We look forward to many such enriching experiences together.
